In July 2015, an online “adult friend” hook-up service called Ashley Madison suffered a data breach. The entire reason Ashley Madison exists is to allow discreet “dating” while being married to someone else, a.k.a., adultery or, “having an affair.”

The whole idea behind the site was anonymity — the ability to have an affair (or affairs) with new people and not get caught or, at least, remain anonymous until you finally get caught. You would think that a site that depends on secrecy would go to extraordinary means to protect and keep secrets.
Nope. Just like having a fling with the babe next door, they were breached and the secrets were out.
Until their being hacked, I had never heard of the website called Ashley Madison. The first thing that came to my mind was Dolly Madison (not Dolley Madison, the wife of President James Madison) but the bakery and the makers of fine snack foods such as Zingers, Razzys, Koo Koos, Donut Gems, and Coffee Cakes.
Back in college, I became a connoisseur of these products because of a Dolly Madison bakery outlet store located less than a mile from campus. Spent a lot of money on expired (past their sell-by date) snack cakes. I used to stock up and (try) to hide them from my roommates. So, the need for secrets and discretion I associated with Dolly Madison…
